Just as Pearl Harbor and 9/11 changed the world in an instant, Jesus warns that life as we know it can shift suddenly. This sermon reflects on the unpredictability of life and the call to be spiritually watchful. Especially in times of crisis, we’re reminded that our security is not in systems or routines, but in God’s grace. Advent is a time of waiting, yes — but also of watching.
